Privacy Policy
Orbit is a native macOS app made by Aigenize. This policy explains what we do — and don't — collect across two separate things: this website (orbit-app.dev, including the waitlist) and the Orbit app itself.
The short version
- If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and nothing else.
- The Orbit app runs entirely on your Mac — we receive no source code, prompts, keystrokes, or telemetry from it.
- We never sell or rent your data.
- Unsubscribe or request deletion anytime at info@aigenize.com.
1. Who we are
Orbit is built and operated by Aigenize ("we", "us", "our"). We are the controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. The simplest way to reach us about privacy is info@aigenize.com.
2. What the website collects
This site is intentionally minimal. We collect three things, and only the first identifies you:
Your email address
When you submit the waitlist form, we store the email address you enter and a label noting which form you used. That's it — no name, no password, no payment details. We use it to send you a single launch notice when your free seat opens, plus occasional product updates you can opt out of at any time.
Privacy-friendly analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, country). It is cookieless, does not build a profile of you, and does not track you across other sites.
Standard server logs
Like any website, when you load a page our hosting provider transiently processes technical data such as your IP address and browser user-agent to deliver the page and protect against abuse. We do not use these logs to identify or profile individual visitors.
3. The Orbit app
This is the most important section, so we'll be plain: the Orbit desktop app is local-first and we receive nothing from it.
- Orbit spawns the coding agent you already have installed (
claudeorcodex) and reads its on-disk transcripts (e.g.~/.claude/projects) locally on your machine. - Your source code, prompts, and keystrokes are not uploaded to us, and there is no telemetry on your code.
- Orbit does not require an account with us, and there are no API keys to paste.
One thing to be clear about: when your agent actually runs, it talks to your AI provider — Anthropic for Claude Code, OpenAI for Codex — under their own privacy policies and your own account with them. That exchange is between you and that provider. Orbit is a local runner and viewer; it is not a party to it and does not intercept it.
4. How we use information
- To send the single launch email when your free seat opens, and occasional updates about Orbit.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
- To respond to you when you contact us.
We do not use your email for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell it.
5. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for the waitlist (given when you submit the form, withdrawable anytime), and on our legitimate interests in keeping the website secure and understanding aggregate usage.
7. Data retention
We keep your waitlist email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until the waitlist is no longer needed — whichever comes first. After that we delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to object to certain processing. You can always unsubscribe. To exercise any of these, email info@aigenize.com and we'll act on it. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
10. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the providers' standard contractual clauses.
11. Children
Orbit is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but the surface here is small by design — for the waitlist, just an email address.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes affecting waitlist subscribers will be communicated by email where appropriate.
